Marriage and Family Therapist

Jaleesa is an enthusiastic and dedicated therapist. She believes building connections is the most important part of her role because the relationship is the healer. Jaleesa received her Bachelor of Arts in psychology and thereafter started her career helping others. She first served as a Care Worker in a Group Home for teenage girls, and then became a Behavior Interventionist and Paraeducator, while she began her Graduate Studies. She received a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology from Vanguard University. As a therapist, she has worked with children, adolescents, and adults from various walks of life and experiences. She believes it is a gift to share life with others and provide support and care to those in need.

Jaleesa chose Cortica because she believes in a comprehensive approach to therapy and enjoys working as a team to provide the best services possible to each individual seeking care. She believes that when providing care, it’s important to consider the individual as well as their environment. She has worked in collaborative environments throughout her career and has taken time to learn from the support given by other modalities. Jaleesa looks forward to meeting and sharing life with each of her clients.
