Counselor
Djemima Fleury, LICSW, is a dedicated clinical social worker who began her career in human services in 2015, supporting neurodivergent individuals in residential placements and now specializes in providing trauma-informed mental health care. In addition to Cortica counseling, serves as the Clinical Director for Fall River Deaconess Home’s Support and Stabilization program.
Djemima ‘s clinical practice includes a variety of evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to provide personalized, effective care for her clients.
Djemima holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Massachusetts Boston and a master’s degree in social work from Simmons University. She is licensed as an Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the state of Massachusetts and is fluent in both English and Haitian Creole.
Her passion for social work and psychology is deeply rooted in her experience growing up in an immigrant family. Early on, she learned to navigate cultural nuances and confront systemic biases—formative experiences that continue to inform her compassionate, equity-driven approach to care.
In her free time, Djemima enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
