Study Title: An adjunct study to assess guided ADHD therapy for managing the extent and severity of symptoms
Condition: Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
Purpose: To assess the efficacy and safety of an at-home, game-based digital therapy on clinical symptoms of adult patients with ADHD.
Inclusion criteria:
18-21 years old
Diagnosed Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (combined or inattentive type)
Moderate-to-severe inattentive, hyperactive, or compulsive symptoms
Current, stable use of ADHD medication
Exclusion criteria:
Unstable psychiatric diagnosis other than ADHD
Previous use of videogame-like digital therapy or used cognitive/brain training platform within the last three years
Motor conditions that affect ability to play video game
History of seizures or tics
Device Usage: Participants will be provided with a tablet loaded within the therapeutic game. Participants will play the game for 15-25 minutes per day, 5 days a week for 9 weeks of treatment
Frequency of visits: 5 visits (2 in-clinic, 3 telehealth) over the course of 3 months
Costs: No costs will be charged for any of the study procedures.
Payment: In return for the time, effort, and travel expenses, participants will be compensated $225 if the study is completed.
