Elysa Marco, M.D. is a board-certified cognitive and behavioral pediatric neurologist, neuroscience researcher, and author. Dr. Mary Steele, a board-certified pediatrician, has specialized training and expertise in neurodevelopment, behavior, and psychopharmacology. Dr. Steele studied human biology as an undergraduate at Stanford University and went on to complete her medical school training at Dartmouth and the University of Minnesota. She returned to Northern California for her pediatric residency at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF). She then worked for several years as a general practitioner in San Francisco and Seattle.
In addition to her general pediatrics practice, Dr. Steele worked at the Golden Gate Regional Center evaluating and caring for children with developmental disabilities. Prior to joining Cortica, Dr. Steele returned to UCSF's developmental medicine division to focus on clinical initiatives related to the effects of adversity, trauma, and toxic stress on children and families.
Dr. Steele resides in San Francisco with her husband, two teenage daughters, and dog.
Bianca brings a unique blend of medical and business expertise and a passion for healthcare innovation to Cortica. For nearly ten years, she has been able to apply her experience in patient care and operational management to deliver high-quality clinical services to improve the patient experience and deliver better clinical outcomes.
During her career, she was in charge of planning and overseeing all patient care and administrative operations for healthcare centers. Bianca joins us from Circle Medical, where she served as clinic director and helped launch the company’s flagship primary care clinic in San Francisco. Before Circle Medical, Bianca was responsible for the operational, service, and fiscal management of procedure services at the medical outpatient center at the University of California, San Francisco Medical Center.
