Victor (Vic) serves as a Licensed Professional Counselor in Arizona & Connecticut, while actively pursuing licensures in other states. Victor began his career in the mental health field in 2011; he has enjoyed working alongside individuals & families from a wide range of demographics seeking to overcome life challenges. His humanistic approach to therapy values client-centered autonomy towards personal growth. He utilizes a variety of evidence-based practices to support a client’s growth, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Solution-focused therapy, and Mindfulness.

Victor has extensive experience working with high-risk clients helping them navigate through mental health crises. Prior to joining Cortica's mission, Victor's work experience varied from inpatient, intensive outpatient programs, to specializing as a Certified Correctional Healthcare Professional while navigating through the challenges inherent to correctional healthcare. Vic graduated with a bachelor's degree in humanities with a focus in public agency service at Northern Arizona University and went on to earn a master's degree in clinical mental health at the University of Nevada Las Vegas. He is fluent in English & Spanish. Victor feels fortunate and finds purpose in giving back to his community through providing quality mental health care.
