Sandy Garcia, LCSW (CA #113890)

Counselor

Sandy Garcia is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in California who started her journey in the field in 2018. Her passion lies in providing compassionate mental health services to children and their families, guiding them as they navigate the unique challenges that life can bring.

Before stepping into the world of counseling, Sandy served as an ABA provider, which gave her the invaluable opportunity to connect deeply with neurodivergent individuals and their families. This experience has profoundly shaped her understanding and approach, allowing her to craft supportive, individualized strategies that truly resonate with each child’s unique strengths and needs.

Throughout her journey in school settings, she's addressed concerns such as anxiety, depression, relational challenges, and self-esteem issues among students. She believes in fostering a warm and welcoming atmosphere where children and families feel safe to share their thoughts and feelings without judgment. She believes that together, we can explore experiences, build self-awareness, and develop tools that empower families to embrace the changes they wish to see.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies and a master’s degree in Social Work, both from California State University, Bakersfield. She is dedicated to providing culturally competent and neurodiversity-affirming care, and she genuinely enjoys partnering with families to help their children thrive in their environments. She is also fluent in both English and Spanish, allowing her to connect with a diverse range of families.

While not working, you can find Sandy cherishing time with her loved ones, exploring the outdoors, enjoying hot yoga or Pilates classes, or enjoying delicious foods.
