Dr. Raun Melmed is a Board-Certified Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrician and Medical Director Emeritus of Cortica Scottsdale, formerly known as Melmed Center, with decades of experience caring for children with autism and other developmental and behavioral differences. A native of South Africa, he completed postgraduate training in Israel, New York City, and Boston, including a fellowship at Boston Children’s Hospital, where he served as an Instructor at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Melmed has dedicated much of his career to advancing the early identification and care of children with developmental and behavioral concerns. He has helped develop nationally recognized physician training programs focused on early identification and autism screening and has authored numerous articles, chapters, and educational resources on child development and learning. Throughout his work, Dr. Melmed has emphasized early recognition, individualized care, and collaboration with families and professionals to help children reach their fullest potential.
