Punam Malani, MSN, FNP, is a highly dedicated nurse practitioner providing exceptional care to her patients and their caregivers with compassion and personal pride. At Cortica, as a neurodevelopment nurse practitioner, she focuses on caring for children with developmental conditions and the need for early intervention to promote optimum outcomes for children and their families. Punam loves to involve her patients and their caregivers in every aspect of healthcare, focusing on health education to develop efficient therapeutic care plans. 

Punam started her career in healthcare when she was 18 years old while working as a nurse aide for the geriatric population. After graduating, Punam worked as a registered nurse in various health care settings such as medical-surgical, neonatal intensive unit, general pediatrics, and pediatric neurology. After practicing as a registered nurse for eight years, Punam advanced her career and received a master’s degree in nursing at the University of Texas at Arlington. Shortly after, she started working as a nurse practitioner in family medicine. Punam loves to involve herself in community service projects. She was on the leadership team for Project Humanity and has been to Kenya twice on medical mission trips providing care for orphan children and the community.
