Mileissa M. Castellano is an experienced bilingual Licensed Mental Health Counselor that provides guidance and support to neurodiverse families. Mileissa specializes in trauma treatment, parenting support, child therapy, and family therapy. She has obtained several certifications: TFCBT – Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, SMART – Sensory Motor Aerosol Regulation Therapy, EMDR- Eye Movement Regulation Desensitization Reprocessing Therapy, and the CADC- Drug and Alcohol Certification. Mileissa is passionate about the importance of mental health and believes that without mental health, there is no health. She also believes “not one model fits all” and that each person requires different tools for their mental well-being, so she works with each family to support their unique needs.

Mileissa is a special and proud mom of two boys. Special yes, because one of her boys has a neurological disorder and gene mutation that has exposed not just Mileissa but her whole family into a new path they have been able to navigate with support. Mileissa works actively with a multidisciplinary team to explore, assess, and meet her son’s needs. Mileissa is married and is from a Latino descendent family culture/system. Mileissa loves sports and her favorite hobbies are lifting weights, reading, exploring nature and spending quality time with her family.
