Jill Porzucki is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, with a special interest in art and narrative-based therapies. She is a native of Southern California, growing up in Torrance. She attended UC Davis for her undergraduate degree, studying Sociology: Social Services and Spanish Literature. From there she went on to work with youth in arts education in New Orleans as part of an Americorps program. After her year of Americorps service, she worked at the Public Defender's office, doing mental health referrals for inmates in municipal court. She was awarded a scholarship through a new pilot program called Child Welfare Leadership Training, where she conducted research about Child Welfare outcomes in San Francisco County and completed her internship in child welfare.  Upon graduating she worked at a foster family agency in the South Bay. She then transitioned to work at Cal State Long Beach in their Basic Needs program as the Rapid Rehousing Coordinator, locating food and shelter resources for students. Interested in getting back to working with youth and in counseling, she joined Cortica. She's a member of the California Society for Clinical Social Work and received her licensure in clinical social work.
