Heather O’Neil, PhD, MEd, BCBA, is the ABA Site Manager for Cortica’s New Jersey clinic. She holds a doctorate in Behavior Analysis from Capella University and brings a deep commitment to compassionate, family-centered care.
Heather’s journey into the field of behavior analysis began as a parent—her son’s autism diagnosis inspired her to pursue a career supporting neurodivergent children and their families. With clinical experience across in-home services, early intervention centers, and school-based settings, she previously served as a full-time school district BCBA in New Jersey, working with students from preschool through high school.
At Cortica, Heather leads with empathy, clinical excellence, and a belief in teaching through joy. She is passionate about building collaborative teams, empowering caregivers, and ensuring that each child’s potential is fully supported with evidence-based care and heartfelt connection.
