Pediatric Nurse Practitioner | Functional Medicine Specialist
At Cortica San Diego, Erin is an integral part of the medical team. She helps with all aspects of child care, including conducting evaluations, making diagnoses, and prescribing medications. Erin monitors and maintains the progress of children and serves as a resource to help families prioritize recommendations for ongoing care.
Erin received her Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training from the University of Mount Union in Alliance, Ohio and went on to complete her Master of Science degree in advance practice nursing with a specialization in pediatric primary care at The Ohio State University. Erin has an additional certification as a Pediatric Mental Health Specialist. Following graduation, Erin worked as a registered nurse at Nationwide Children's Hospital in the neonatal intensive care unit and in pediatric primary care.
Erin has a strong interest in nutrition and is currently pursuing additional education and certification in nutrition through Tufts University. She also has a passion for community service, including providing medical care to underserved communities in Honduras. Erin also assisted in planning mission trips to underserved communities to repair cleft lips and palates on behalf of the Free to Smile Foundation.
