Counselor

Ella began her career in social work in 2020. Prior to joining Cortica, Ella served as a clinical social worker at the Neurological Institute at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, where she worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings providing care coordination, therapeutic support, and connections to community resources for children and families navigating complex neurological conditions. She also worked as a counselor at Heart of Los Angeles, where she provided both individual and group therapy for children. In addition, she has offered virtual therapy services through USC Telehealth and California Hope.

Ella is licensed in Texas, and she holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Loyola Marymount University and a master’s degree in social work from the University of Southern California. She is passionate about understanding each child within the context of their family system and creating a collaborative, person-centered therapeutic environment where children and caregivers feel supported, heard, and empowered. Ella is dedicated to helping families build practical strategies, strengthen resilience, and feel confident in supporting their child’s growth and overall well-being.

In her free time, Ella enjoys playing the piano, running, and spending time with her dogs, Bunny and Birdie.
