Counselor
Albana’s journey from community-based early experiences and immigration to her extensive clinical training across the lifespan, settings, and modalities starting in 2009 has shaped her into a counselor who leads with both skill and humanity. Her background includes individual, couples, family therapy, crisis response work, residential, and in home therapy and support as well as modalities such as TF-CBT (Trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), Internal Family Systems, Mindfulness, DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), Motivational Interviewing, and more. Albana graduated with a master’s degree in marriage and family therapy from Central Connecticut State University in 2012 and holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from University of Connecticut. She is fluent in Albanian and English.
As a parent of two neurodivergent children, Albana is passionate about providing compassionate, culturally attuned, neurodiversity affirming, and whole person clinical care that uplifts and empowers individuals and their families. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, friends, exploring philosophical and spiritual knowledge, reading, walks in nature, and road trips.
