1. Are you in-network with my health insurance?

We’re in-network with some of the largest health insurance companies, including Aetna, Blue Shield, Cigna, United Healthcare and more. In-network coverage may vary based on your home state, plan type, and the services your child receives at Cortica. Please reach out to us for more information about specific health insurance plans and covered services.

12. Is your program neurodiversity-affirming?

At Cortica, we embrace a strengths-based, neurodiversity-affirming approach across all of our personalized therapies, including ABA therapy, medical services, speech-language therapy, occupational therapy, counseling, and more. We're proud to tailor our approach to each child's unique needs and experiences, and to celebrate each child's progress during their care journey.

13. Do you have a minimum time commitment for ABA hours?

We believe in providing personalized care tailored for each child at Cortica. Therefore, we don't have a set minimum time commitment for ABA therapy hours. Instead, we work with families to determine the optimal amount of therapy based on the individual needs and goals of the child.

14. Can I pick the behavior therapist that comes to my home?

We do our best to honor families' preferences when scheduling therapists, with a focus on providing quality and consistency of care. Even if a family's preferred therapist is not available during their scheduled hours, please know that all of Cortica's therapists receive rigorous whole-child training and ongoing clinical supervisory support, and are committed to the highest level of care and ethical standards. If a family has any concerns about their child's care, they may reach out to their ABA supervisor for support.

15. Can my child have a combination of in-center and in-home ABA?

Our goal is to create an ABA care plan that reflects each child's needs and goals. We understand that some families may prefer a mix of in-center and in-home therapeutic care, and we will gladly explore this option with your family based on center availability and your insurance coverage. Please contact our enrollment team at 888-885-5068 so that we may further explore your family's needs.
