Safi Shareef, MD is a pediatric neurologist and the medical director of Cortica Plano. Following the completion of his neuromuscular fellowship training at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, he joined the Texas Child Neurology team in 2017. Since then, he has been caring for children with neurodevelopmental differences in the DFW metroplex.

Dr. Safi is especially passionate about helping children with autism. He was a lead researcher in the national COGNOA trial assisting in the earlier diagnosis of autism. He holds a special interest in neuroimaging, neurogenetics, neuroimmunology, the gut-brain connection, and also advancing evidence-based biomedical therapeutics such as medical cannabis.
