Professional Clinical Counselor

Marielle Manzano is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a native Texan. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Sciences with a focus in Early Childhood from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master’s degree in Counseling from the University of Houston. While pursuing her master's, she was the Counseling Coordinator of the Latino Health Disparities Lab at the University of Houston, where she developed a counseling curriculum and psychoeducational material related to body image, self-esteem, mindfulness, and anxiety for preadolescent children.

Prior to joining Cortica, she worked with children of all ages in settings including schools, community centers, and clinical practice. Her work focused on providing therapy to elementary-aged children and their families in addition to group therapy to build social skills and promote self-regulation. Marielle strives to help children and families feel seen, heard, and empowered throughout the therapeutic process. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, traveling, and spending time with family.
