Dan brings with him deep healthcare leadership experience from his prior roles. Before joining Cortica, Dan served as President of the Florida Market for DaVita, one of the leading healthcare companies in the country. In this role, he oversaw 1,400 clinicians and administrators who delivered care to over 92,000 Medicare Advantage patients. Prior to that, Dan managed operations for DaVita’s largest region in the California market as Senior Vice President, serving over 150,000 patients and managing key strategic relationships with payor and hospital partners. Dan was also previously the national Chief Medical Officer for the acute care division of TeamHealth, Inc., based out of South Florida, overseeing a division that employed more than 1,200 physicians across 26 states.
Dan is passionate about designing care delivery models. He enjoys crafting a seamless operating environment that delivers the highest quality of care and strives to provide the best possible outcomes.
Dan received his medical degree from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, graduating Alpha Omega Alpha, and completed his residency at the UCLA Medical Center. He earned his master’s degree in business administration from Northwestern University. He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and continues to maintain direct patient care as a practicing hospitalist.
