Chyllia is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Grand Canyon University and a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Arizona. She has certificates from the Southwest Institute of Healing Arts in Life Coaching, Hypnotherapy, Polarity Therapy, and Massage Therapy.Chyllia is the editor and author of a psychiatric mental health nursing textbook used across the country and has authored numerous articles and newsletters. She teaches a cultural competency course for healthcare workers; addressing race, sexual orientation, sexual identity, gender gaps, religious beliefs, and other areas where people fall into minority groups. Chyllia has spent most of her career working with children and young adults with chronic, complex medical issues. A natural educator, Chyllia provides resources and education about diagnoses and treatments.
